Wildly inventive, brutally violent and glossily designed, this sci-fi thriller is a mayhem-filled mash-up of Robocop and Venom.

Tom Hardy lookalike Logan Marshall-Green gives a star-making turn as a quadriplegic who receives a revolutionary biochip implant which heals him and delivers newfound levels of super-human fighting capabilities.

This enables him to hunt for the people responsible for the death of his wife but Betty Gabriel’s cop is in pursuit of the revenge driven vigilante.

And the smart script feeds into our fear of uncontrolled global tech companies and questions the direction humankind is taking.
